Thermalimaging is hotter than ever, and quickly moving into the tool boxes ofeveryday technicians and contractors taking advantage of a new generationof affordable high performance thermal imagers. This useful technology isno longer limited by the fragility and cost of older-generation imagers.New instruments like the Fluke Ti25, Fluke Ti10, Fluke TiR1 andFluke TiRThermal Imagers set a new standard for affordable thermal imagerperformance. Many older imagers were bulky and delicate, and cost $10,000or more. The new Fluke imagers cost from $4,495 to $7,495.
These tools make thermal imaging cost effective for day-to-daytroubleshooting and maintenance tasks. Industry and building diagnosticprofessionals are putting this technology to work to solve problems andincrease their productivity in many applications.
These new-generation imagers are engineered for durability (they withstanda drop of 6.5 feet) and IP54 rated to withstand water and dust. And theycan integrate infrared and visual (visible light) images to make it easierto identify and analyze problems. Each imager also includes FlukeSmartView(TM) software for viewing, annotating, editing and analyzingimages.
All four models incorporate IR-Fusion®, Fluke's patent-pending technologythat integrates infrared and visual (visible light) images in full screenor picture-in-picture views. IR-Fusion helps users recognize image detailsand better identify problem areas by quickly scrolling through thedifferent viewing modes. These are the only thermal imagers availabletoday in this format and price range that incorporate this capability inboth the camera and in the software.
The Fluke Ti25 and Ti10 are designed for day-to-day troubleshooting andmaintenance of electrical installations, electro-mechanical equipment, process equipment, HVAC/R installations and other industrial and electricalequipment. The Fluke TiR1 and TiR are designed for use by buildingdiagnostic professionals, restoration and remediation specialists androofing professionals. The Fluke Ti25 and TiR1 include the ability torecord and save voice comments with every image taken, a three-button menudesigned for intuitive operation and navigation with the push of a thumb, and on-screen emissivity correction (Ti25 and TiR1 only).
Fluke SmartView(TM) software, a modular suite of tools for viewing, annotating, editing and analyzing infrared images, is included, with freesoftware upgrades for the life of the product. SmartView software fullysupports Fluke IR-Fusion Technology, enabling users to edit images in fiveviewing modes and generate customizable, professional-looking reports in afew steps.
The imagers include a 2 GB SD memory card that will store at least 3,000basic infrared images (.bmp file format) or 1,200 fully radiometric (.is2IR-Fusion file format) infrared and linked visual images, each with 60seconds of voice annotation, as well as an SD card reader (USB) fordownloading images into a computer. Each thermal imager comes with arugged hard carrying case and a soft transport bag, an adjustable handstrap for right- or left-handed use, rechargeable internal battery and ACpower supply/battery charger (including mains adapters).
Fluke IR-Fusion Technology
IR-Fusion technology (patent pending) facilitates real time pixel-for-pixelmerging of infrared and visual (visible light) images together on a singledisplay. Providing five viewing modes -- each designed to add greaterclarity, accuracy and a valuable frame of reference to infrared images --IR-Fusion allows users to manipulate images right on the camera's displayand is designed specifically to allow users to find problems not commonlyor easily detected with other tools.
IR-Fusion captures infrared and visual (visible light) images andsimultaneously displays the images fused together, adding a new dimensionof detail that saves time and money and best conveys infrared informationof each specific application and environment. Viewing modes include:
-- Full Infrared - high-resolution standard infrared images.-- Full Visible Light (this mode available only in the software on the Fluke Ti25 and Ti10 models) - a visual (visible light) image like you would get with a digital camera.-- Picture-in-Picture - an IR image portal surrounded by a visual (visible light) frame for reference.-- Auto (Automatic) Blending - combines infrared and visual (visible light) images blended together at user-adjustable levels for the greatest image clarity.-- IR/Visible Alarm (this mode available only in the software on the Fluke Ti25 and Ti10 models) - displays only the portions of the image that fall above, below or between a user-specified temperature range as IR, leaving the remainder of the image as full visual (visible light).
IR-Fusion makes it easier to identify details and potential problems bymanaging and analyzing images with complete control over both the infraredand visual (visible light) spectrums. The ability to fuse images on-cameraand optimize images in real-time improves primary target identification, makes it easier and quicker to locate issues and offers a tremendousadvantage in reporting clarity.
