Top Female Leader in Business and Finance Named From Inland Empire

REDLANDS, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 04/11/08 -- Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio Council (GSSGC)named Barbara Robinson, former executive vice president for Bank ofAmerica, as the top female leader in San Bernardino and Riverside countiesin business and finance.

Barbara Robinson began working for Bank of America in 1973 serving in avariety of capacities from teller to manager in a local bank center. Herconfidence clearly played an integral part in her success as Barbara waspromoted over her years of service with the bank from which she recentlyretired as Division Executive for Bank of America's Southwest Division. AsDivision Executive, Barbara was responsible for overseeing over $37 billionin deposits and 9,400 employees as well as 850 banking centers throughoutSouthern California, Arizona, Texas, New Mexico and Nevada.

Barbara Robinson was also the Bank of America Market President for theInland Empire area. Active in the Inland Empire communities, Robinson isthe Chair of the University of California, Riverside Board of Trustees anda UCR Anderson Graduate School of Management 1999-2000 Fellow. She is thepast president of the Loma Linda University Children's Hospital FoundationBoard and a member of the Monday Morning Group civic organization in theInland Empire. She is active in the American Heart Association and has beenpast chair of the Inland Empire HeartWalk. Barbara has also served as pastpresident of the Riverside County Philharmonic.
