Mr.Hale was appointed as President and CEO of VXI Corporation in 1998 andsuccessfully grew VXI into a major player in the commercial and consumerheadset markets, breaking ground for the company in both new technologiesand in new markets. "Dick Hale has been instrumental in bringing VXI to aplace that leaves it well positioned in the marketplace. I want to thankDick for his outstanding service and congratulate him on a long anddistinguished career," said Dodge Morgan, Chairman of VXI Corporation.VXI Corporation also announced the appointment of Michael W. Ferguson tothe position of President and CEO succeeding Mr. Hale, effectiveimmediately. Mr. Ferguson comes to VXI with over 30 years of professionalmanagement experience, including 12 years of headset industry experience,which makes him well suited to continue VXI's success in thetelecommunications marketplace.
Previously, Mr. Ferguson was the Sr. Vice President of Sales of PortableSound Labs, a consumer audio electronics company, where he established aretail channel for the firm. Prior to that, Mr. Ferguson held varioussenior positions, including Vice President of Sales and Marketing, at GNNetcom, Inc., where he actively contributed to the company's growth. Mr.Ferguson attended Suffolk University and is currently a candidate for aMasters of Management from Cambridge College.
