ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, FL -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 07/11/08 -- Cryobanks International, Inc., aleader in the collection, processing, and banking of umbilical cord blood,is taking a positive step toward becoming more environmentally friendly byoffering "green" marketing solutions for its cord blood private storage andpublic donation services.

Cryobank believes that by going as paperless as possible the company willplay its part in helping to reduce the amount of paper it consumes tomarket its services. According to Sam Martin in his 2008 article "PaperChase" at Ecology.com (www.ecology.com), nearly 4 billion trees worldwideare cut down each year for paper, representing about 35% of all harvestedtrees. The U.S., which represents only 5% of the world's population, uses30% of all paper with each person using 749 pounds of paper every year!

"The harvesting of forests for paper to print and mail marketing materialsis no longer necessary. We will use electronic marketing materials andreplace a large amount of paper we typically send out," commented LegnaPeña, marketing coordinator for Cryobanks International. "Companies in allindustries are becoming more environmentally conscious and we need to doour part wherever we can," Ms. Peña continued.

"We believe we are the first company in our industry to take positiveaction in helping preserve our ecosystem. It may be a small step, but weencourage other cord blood companies to participate in some way. A numberof small steps will eventually add up to a big one," said Robert Gravely,Cryobanks chief operating officer.

To meet this challenge Cryobanks will be using electronic versions of itsmarketing material to educate visitors. The company will make its marketinginformation available on its website and send it via email. In those caseswhere "real" paper marketing materials are requested the company will userecycled paper and printing materials.
