TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 04/10/08 -- Editors Note: Photos and a video are included with this press release.

For the third year in a row the Mitsubishi City Chase Series Presented by BlackBerry has been named Canada's Best Sporting Event. This prestigious honour, known as a Star Award, was presented recently at the 11th Annual Canadian Event Industry Awards (CEIA) Star Awards Gala, held at CIRCA, one of the hottest new venues in Toronto. The Star Awards recognize outstanding achievements in Canadian special events, and the 2007 nominee finalists included the FIFA U- 20 Word Cup of Soccer, the Telus World Skins golf tournament, the Baycrest International ProAm Hockey Tournament.

"We are extremely pleased to have won this award." said David Nash, Director of City Chase Inc. "To have won it once is an honour, to have won it three times in a row is absolutely fantastic. And this year is especially meaningful because the quality of the other nominees was so high. To have competed and succeeded against the likes of the FIFA U-20 World Cup says a lot about the quality of our people and our sponsors. It's also a terrific way to kick off our new season which launches on May 10th in Vancouver."

The Mitsubishi City Chase Series Presented by BlackBerry is the Canadian component of what has become the "World's Largest Urban Adventure Series". Participants must exhibit teamwork, resourcefulness, determination and the ability to make decisions on the fly as they search for ChasePoints scattered in unknown locations throughout one of seven Canadian cities. ChasePoints are designed to test teams with a variety of physical, intellectual, and otherwise adventurous challenges. In a typical 4-6 hour event, 2-person teams will run, walk and use public transit to navigate their way throughout a city, while calling family and friends for help, accessing the Internet and employing the assistance of total strangers. The first team to complete the required ChasePoints and cross the finish line wins. Regional winners will compete in the Canadian Championships for their shot at winning a pair of 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer's and the right to represent "Team Canada" at the World Championships.

The Canadian series is backed by a great group of sponsors including Mitsubishi Motors, Research In Motion, Coke, Crocs, The Running Room and Right To Play. It also receives tremendous support from local municipalities, tourism offices, hundreds of outstanding staff and volunteers, plus of course the 20,000 participants (A.K.A. Chasers) who have completed City Chase events to date.
