ALBUQUERQUE, NM -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 07/11/08 -- New Mexico motorists will still have toreach deep into their pockets when hitting the road this weekend.The AAA New Mexico Fuel Gauge Report shows that the statewide average is$4.038 per gallon for regular gas. On the average, New Mexico motorists payamong the lowest prices in the country; it ranks 15th for one of the loweststatewide average prices for regular gas. Nationally, the average price is$4.10.
Most New Mexico cities continue to see steady increases in the price ofregular self-serve gasoline.
This time last year, New Mexico motorists were paying on average 83 centsless per gallon of gasoline.
