SAN DIEGO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 07/30/08 -- Nirvana, a division of General Atomics, todayannounced the availability of Storage Resource Broker 2008 (SRB 2008). Thisrelease includes many functional enhancements:

-- Performance: Multiple performance increases in database schema,   servers, protocols, clients, and gateways.-- Security: Full support for Microsoft Active Directory (AD),   Kerberos on Windows, and other Microsoft authentication mechanisms   including delegation and web services.-- Interfaces:   -- All new Java Admin with more intuitive tree-based navigation.   -- All new Web Client with improved session management and Web 2.0      technologies for fast response times and greater ease of use.   -- All new virtual disk interface providing high-performance      kernel-level integration of SRB into Windows.-- Metadata: New XML templates for automated document parsing,   enabling automatic metadata extraction and search support for   complex file formats including MS Office files, JPEG, NITF, and   other imagery types.-- Compatibility: New drivers for tape libraries on Windows and Sun   Microsystems Honeycomb (STK 5800) content addressed storage (CAS).-- Integration: New API for Microsoft .NET support for web services   integration.
