The WeatherBug Network consists of more than 8,000 weather stations, 1,200of which include live weather cameras, located primarily at schools, majorsporting venues and public facilities. Live data and images from theWeatherBug stations and cameras are delivered to broadcasters via theInternet and received by WeatherBug Zoom, an end-to-end digital system thatfunctions as an on-air display platform generating graphics and allowingmeteorologists to manipulate video.
Weather information from WeatherBug's HD cameras seamlessly integrates intothe new, HD optimized WeatherBug Zoom 3.5 system. Zoom 3.5 provides thehighest quality in on-air visuals for up-to-the-second weather coverage ona wide range of weather parameters including temperatures, dew point, windspeed/direction and rainfall from anywhere in the WeatherBug Network.
