Zoran Uses Kilopass XPM Memory in Consumer Electronic Chips

SANTA CLARA, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 09/26/08 -- KilopassTechnology, Inc., a leading provider of semiconductor non-volatilememory (NVM) intellectual property (IP), today announced that ZoranCorporation, is using Kilopass' extra-permanent memory (XPM) technology in its latest DTV products. TheXPM technology supports security protocols in HDTV integrated processorsand other multimedia products. This version of Kilopass' XPM technology istargeted for 80nm processes. Zoran is an established provider of digitalsolutions for applications in the digital entertainment and digital imagingmarkets and a Kilopass customer since 2004.

XPM is used to support the High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) andits high-bandwidth digital content protection (HDCP) encryption algorithmsfor transmitting uncompressed digital video streams and for other systemconfiguration parameters.
