Slocan Rambler Mines (1947) Limited Applies for Revocation of Cease-Trade Orders

TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 04/09/08 -- Slocan Rambler Mines (1947) Limited ("Slocan" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has applied to the securities regulatory authority in Ontario to revoke the cease-trade orders issued by it in 1993 for the Company's failure to file its audited annual financial statements for the fiscal year ended December 31, 1992 and interim financial statements for the three month period ended March 31, 1993.

The Company also announces that it has recently filed with Canadian securities regulatory authorities its annual audited financial statements for the last three years ended December 31, 2005, 2006 and 2007, and all related management's discussion and analysis, all of which can be found under the Company's profile at www.sedar.com.

The Company expects to hold an annual and special meeting (the "Meeting") in the near future. In respect of the Meeting, the Company will prepare and distribute to its shareholders a management information circular in accordance with the requirements of Form 51-102F5 Information Circular of National Instrument 51-102 - Continuous Disclosure Obligations.

Effective August 1, 2007, the board of directors and management of the Company is now comprised of the following persons: Myra Bongard, President, Chief Executive Officer and Director; Martin C. Bernholtz, Chief Financial Officer and Director; and, Michael Frank, Director. The appointment of these new directors will be confirmed at the Meeting.

The Common Shares of the Company are currently not listed or quoted on any exchange or market in Canada or elsewhere.

The Company does not currently have any definitive plans in place for the operation of the business going forward. However, it is the intention of Management of the Company to investigate opportunities in the junior mineral exploration business. Management of the Company intends to keep shareholders informed of its progress in reinstating the Company as a junior mining company and welcomes any inquiries in that regard.
