STUTTGART, GERMANY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 08/01/08 -- On July 24, 2008, the business divisionIndustrial Filtration of MAHLE Filtersysteme GmbH signed an agreementconcerning the acquisition of Amafilter Group Holding BV, headquartered inAlkmaar, Netherlands.The Amafilter Group employs approximately 450 employees and is expecting anestimated sales volume of 80 million Euros in 2008. MAHLE Filtersystemewill take over 100 percent of the shares and integrate the company into theMAHLE Group expectedly as of September 1, 2008. The acquisition is stillsubject to approval by the antitrust authorities. The company producesintegrated filtration solutions for the process technology.
Amafilter Group possesses production locations in the Netherlands, England,France, Italy, and the USA and optimally complements the existingproduction locations of the business division MAHLE Industrial Filtration.Also, regarding the product portfolio and the customer structure, itperfectly fits into the existing business division. In the coming years,MAHLE plans to achieve a significant growth in sales by using the newpotentials mainly in the growth markets food, energy technology, oil andgas as well as in the chemical industry.
