LAS VEGAS, NV -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 04/02/08 -- Solectek Corporation, a San Diegomanufacturer of broadband and public safety wireless equipment, announcedat the International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE) and InternationalSecurity Conference (ISC West) shows the company's latest WiMAX BaseStation and Indoor Controller. The company also reported that 2008 firstquarter revenues increased 48% over the same period in 2007, with Marchsales especially strong due to sales in the wireless multipoint sector andvideo surveillance market. In addition, Solectek shipped WiMAX systems toBrazil and the U.S. during the quarter.

The SkyWay-MAX Base Station (model ODB-3436) is capable of anindustry-leading 4 Watts and 200 EIRP, which ultimately provides a superiorROI to wireless internet service providers and other carriers seekingexcellent range and throughput for subscribers. Complementing the company'soutdoor Base Station is the Indoor Controller (model IDC-100). TheIDC-100's design provides easy installation and maximum flexibility forcarriers via a wide array of affordable modular cards that can be mixed andmatched to suit the needs of a particular WiMAX base site. The cardsinclude support for up to eight antenna sectors, GPS synchronization, failover capability and also a self-contained Indoor Controller Manager.

"We designed our Base Station and Indoor Controller with input from leadingcarriers concerned with protecting their investment in WiMAX for years tocome," said Todd Easterling, Vice President of Corporate Development andMarketing for Solectek Corporation. "By providing a simple yet powerfulchassis and card design, our WiMAX platform gives customers the ability tostart their WiMAX rollout with as little as one Base Station sector andgradually grow their network as their customer base expands. Carriers cancustomize each Base Station site to suit the requirements of theirsubscriber network at any given time, and avoid obsolescing components. Infact, even our Base Station sectoral antennas can be reconfigured asadditional subscribers come on line, simply by adjusting beam width from 45to 120 degrees. The end result is a complete end-to-end WiMAX platform thatgrows as the carrier's business grows. This inherent scalability, combinedwith Base Station power that is two to four times that of most competitors, enables WISPs to roll out WiMAX with less up front investment."

Solectek's WiMAX Base Station & Indoor Controller include the followingfeatures:

-- Flexible support for 3.5 and 7 MHz channel bandwidths and options that include a broad array of frequency bands (e. g., 3.5 GHz, 3.65 GHz, 5.47 to 5.85 GHz, etc.).-- A 4U rack-height chassis designed to support various Base Station designs from one to eight sectors. Carriers can mix and match cards or purchase pre-built, pre-tested common chassis configurations.-- Uplink card used to aggregate data and power from the Base Station ASN gateway site and deliver it to Solectek's outdoor Base Station units.-- GPS kit to synchronize multiple base sites via satellite signals.-- Advanced Indoor Controller Manager, a self-contained computer that provides management access to all of the indoor controller functions. Access is provided by Solectek's SkyWay-MAX Manager which includes an easy- to-use graphical user interface application. In addition, Solectek's EMS application or Telnet/SSH CLI interface may be used.-- Optional failover switching for optimum reliability and subscriber uptime.
