(PINKSHEETS: IDTA) announced todaythat it expects to soon sign a formal agreement with the French governmentto begin development of a totally new line of detection kits. The newproducts, as yet unnamed, will be used to identify precursor chemicals thatare used to manufacture numerous illicit drugs such as methamphetamine,ecstasy, heroin and cocaine. The announcement comes after IDenta's recenttrade mission to France where high level meetings were held with a specialFrench commission, made up of high ranking law enforcement officials,investigating ways to curtail the production of illicit drugs by stoppingthe illegal import and shipment of precursor chemicals."Governments must monitor chemical imports and interrupt the delivery ofthese precursor ingredients before they are received by illegal drugmanufacturers and traffickers," explained IDTA CEO Yaacov Shoham. Recently IDenta announced that the French government, through itsrepresentatives Ibtec, had selected IDenta drug identification products andthe explosive identifiers for use throughout all of the country's lawenforcement agencies. Orders for IDenta products in recent weeks havesteadily increased from law enforcement agencies throughout that country.
