Accelerated growth in prescriptions in France

Paris, July 10th, 2008 - BioAlliance Pharma SA (Euronext Paris -BIO), the specialty pharmaceutical company focused on thetreatment of opportunistic infections in cancer and HIV, todayannounced the launch of its lead product Loramyc® on theBritish, German and Danish markets.

"This simultaneous product launch in three European countriescrowns the efforts of our teams and marks another concrete step inthe internationalization of our business. In these threecountries, we are going to fully leverage our initial experiencewith the product in France", emphasized Dominique Costantini,BioAlliance Pharma's President and CEO. "In fact, prescriptions inFrance grew by 35% at the end of March (relative to the end ofDecember 2007) and June's rate was 60% above the March figure.These progression rates confirm the product's market penetrationand its appropriate response to a disease that affects severelyill patients. In France, over 8,000 patients have received aprescription of Loramyc® and our goal is to double that figureby the end of this year. The acceleration in prescription ratesconfirms the product's potential and will be the key element toobserve in the UK, Germany and Denmark", added DominiqueCostantini.

Loramyc® is now available in four European countries and will becommercialized in the UK, Germany and Denmark by SpeBio (a jointventure founded with SpePharm in order to sell the productthroughout Europe). "The SpeBio team is committed to making theproduct available to private-practice and hospital-basedoncologists, radiotherapists and infectious disease specialists",stated Jean-François Labbé (CEO of SpeBio). "The product hasreceived a very warm welcome, since it fulfils an unmet medicalneed in the field of oropharyngeal candidiasis inimmunocompromised patients".

With the UK, Germany and Denmark, BioAlliance Pharma is extendingits European presence and, with SpeBio, is actively preparingmarket launches (that could take place before the end of thisyear) in additional European countries.
