ANNAPOLIS, MD -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 08/01/08 -- TeleCommunication Systems, Inc. (TCS)(NASDAQ: TSYS), a global leader in mission-critical wireless communicationstechnology, has been invited to present at the 28th Annual Canaccord AdamsGlobal Growth Conference to be held at the InterContinentalBoston in Boston on August 12-14, 2008.

TeleCommunication Systems chairman, president and CEO, Maurice B. Tosé, andsenior vice president and CFO, Tom Brandt, are scheduled to present onWednesday, August 13 at 8:00 a.m. Eastern time.

Management will discuss recent record financial results and companyprogress, including the U.S. Army's recent selection of TCS as the soleawardee of a contract with an initial order and options for up to $246million of deployable satcom system-related deliverables over the next 39months. This award brought the company's total backlog to about $450million, of which $115.4 million is currently funded.

On July 31, 2008, the company reported record second quarter 2008 GAAP netincome, which rose 100% year-over-year to $12.0 million, or $0.26 per basicshare. These results were driven by a 24% year-over-year increase inrevenue to $43.9 million.
