NEW YORK, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 06/23/08 -- Con Edison provides online maps that allowusers to pinpoint outage locations by logging on to www.conEd.com/outagemapand clicking the "Storm Central" icon on the home page or by selecting"outage location maps" from the quicklinks menu.The new site provides complete Con Edison service territory maps withcolor-coded legends indicating the range of customers without service, andwhere to locate outage areas on the map. Additional information is brokendown by borough for New York City, and by municipality for WestchesterCounty. All data is updated at 30-minute intervals.

For more map details, a "Summary" feature enables users to tab to eitherNew York City or Westchester County for the latest information on activeoutages and affected customers, plus the time when the information was lastupdated.
With the click of a mouse, users can browse over a color-coded outage areafor interactive information. Finding the location of a specific addresscan be obtained by using the "Go To" tab located on the lower right portionof the map. Just fill in an address or a ZIP code. Maps can be saved byusing the "Favorites" feature.
The company urges customers to report power interruptions or serviceproblems online at www.conEd.com, or by calling Con Edison's toll-freecustomer service number 1-800-75-CON ED (1-800-752-6633). When reporting anoutage, customers should have their Con Edison account number available, ifpossible, and report whether their neighbors also have lost power.
