Oceana Partners, LLC Initiates Research Coverage On bioMetrx, Inc.
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oceana Partners, LLC today announced that it has initiated research coverage on bioMetrx, Inc. (OTCBB: BMRX - News). bioMetrx develops and markets biometric, fingerprint-activated access and control devices that provide both security and convenience for everyday electronic consumer and medical products. The company's patent-pending technology enables fingerprint-activated access and control to be incorporated into existing consumer products and small devices such as door locks, alarm pads and thermostats, without the need for an integrated keypad.
Patricia Giberson, Oceana's Research Analyst, stated that "the bioMETRX targeted market is very large. According to the 2000 U.S. Census, there are 55.2 million single family homes on less than ten acres in the U.S. bioMETRX management estimates that approximately 30 million households have garage door openers and approximately 10 million have electronic thermostats. With an achieved sales price of $100, the market for the smart door opener could reach $3 billion in the United States. With an achieved price of $160, the smartSTAT(TM) market could reach $1.6 billion".
The company has received over $3.5 million in retail orders for the smartTOUCH(TM) Garage Door Opener, including an agreement with a major U.S. home improvement retailer for 40,000 units.
