Eco-Rx Enters Into Distribution Pact With ServiceMaster Corporation
NORTH MIAMI BEACH, FL--(MARKET WIRE)--Mar 13, 2007 -- Eco-Rx (Other OTC:ERXX.PK - News), manufacturer of only a few FDA-approved proprietary air purification systems, announced today it has signed a distribution agreement with ServiceMaster Services (SMS) of Canton, Massachusetts. SMS is a multi-territory franchisee of ServiceMaster Corporation based in Chicago, IL. As one of the original 12 franchises established when ServiceMaster was founded in 1947, ServiceMaster of Canton covers the entire southern Massachusetts region.
The RX-400 purifies the air in a commercial or residential setting by drawing the air into its sealed chamber, exposing contaminants to three powerful UV-C lamps. Each RX-400 unit will clean a room up to 2500 cubic feet 5 times per hour. In November 2006, the Company announced that it received 510(k) clearance from the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The 510(k) clearance allows the company to immediately begin marketing the device as a medical ultraviolet air purifier for the inactivation of indoor airborne bacteria.
This ServiceMaster program will include the sale of Eco-Rx products to current institutional and residential customers, use of Eco-Rx's equipment in their daily operation, and a marketing program which will reach the entire SMS customer base. Expanding the customer base of Eco-Rx via industrial channels is part of the company's business model.
