Eco-Rx Receives Notice of Allowance for Key Chinese Patent for System for Purifying and Removing Contaminants From Gaseous Fluids
Chinese Patent Adds to Company's Growing Patent Portfolio, Including US Patent # 6,939,397 B2
MIAMI, FL--(MARKET WIRE)--Aug 14, 2006 -- Eco-Rx, Inc. (Other OTC:ERXX.PK - News), a producer of proprietary air purification products, announced that the company has received a Notice of Allowance from the Chinese State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) which significantly extends the protection of the RX-400. The original patent application to SIPO described the invention as "a system and corresponding methods for removing contaminants from a contaminated air stream." In particular, the present invention pertains to a method and apparatus for enhancing the exposure of a contaminated air stream to germicidal radiation in order to optimize removal of contaminants from that air stream.
Importantly, the claims that will be allowed by the Chinese State Intellectual Property Office not only cover the basic product but also allows 43 claims as related to that product. The system includes a housing, including an inlet, an outlet, and an elongated UV chamber disposed within the housing.
The RX-400 used ultraviolet light within a chamber to kill microbial bacteria, viruses and mold. The product also reduces allergens in rooms of any size, dependent upon the air exchanges desired. Ultraviolet light (UV-C) is the best known mechanism for killing microorganisms that are airborne.
