Green Energy Resources Signs Albany, NY Port Contract
Clintons, Branson Invited to Visit Woodchips for Energy

NEW YORK, NY--(MARKET WIRE)--Sep 28, 2006 -- Green Energy Resources (Other OTC:GRGR.PK - News) has signed a contract with Port Albany Ventures (Albany, NY) for the export of renewable energy woodchips. The contract is effective immediately. Green Energy Resources plans to utilize the Hudson River facility to draw supplies from New York City, Long Island, Northern New Jersey, the Hudson Valley, Albany and New England regions. The port can handle upwards of 50,000 tons monthly and plans to make the first shipment around December first to Europe. The Albany, NY, port will serve as a center to expand 'green' exports to the European Union according to CEO, Joseph Murray. Green Energy Resources was the first American company to export wood biomass from the United States to Europe for renewable energy beginning in 2003.

Green Energy Resources invites Bill Clinton and Richard Branson to visit the port to observe the export of wood biomass for alternative energies such as ethanol and biodiesel to Europe. An invitation is also extended to view a demonstration of the company's new UTCS software in New York City on October 20th. Bill Clinton and Richard Branson, the owner of Virgin Atlantic Airways, announced last week the creation of a 'GREEN FUND' in excess of $1.79 Billion. Richard Branson pledged $3 Billion to invest in green companies combating global warming over the next 10 years.

Green Energy Resources CEO, Joseph Murray, viewed the opportunity to export from Albany, NY, as a "home coming." Mr. Murray attended Siena College in the Albany area, worked in the New York State Legislature, and is a member of the Albany, NY-headquartered Empire State Forest Products Association. Mr. Murray stated he was "thrilled and excited about the opportunity to serve the New England region and especially Albany."
