Green Energy Resources Urges TX. Gov. Perry to Require Co-firing at 7 Coal Plants; $50 Million Dollar Woodchip Exports to Go to Louisiana, Virginia and Texas
NEW YORK, NY--(MARKET WIRE)--Nov 17, 2006 -- Green Energy Resources (Other OTC:GRGR.PK - News) is urging Texas Govenor Rick Perry to halt the Dallas-based TXU energy plan for open coal burning. Green Energy Resources, CEO, Joseph Murray, has called upon the Texas Forest Association to become involved and press the Govenor to demand the plants co-fire. Co-firing is blending of woodfiber with coal to reduce carbon emissions into the atmosphere. Co-firing is the successful plan of choice of European power plant utilities for carbon reduction strategy. Green Energy Resources has pledged to work and supply TXU with biomass for co-firing. Green Energy Resources UTCS software, designed to reduce carbon emissions and create a new biomass market place for renewable energy, was recently demonstrated to Austin Energy of Austin, Texas.

TXU is planning to open 7 coal burning plants throughout Texas. The Mayors of Dallas and Houston, as well as environmental groups, oppose the plan. The company has opted to burn coal with disregard to global warming and carbon emissions. Co-firing is the most cost effective means to reduce toxic green house gas emissions into the atmosphere and can be achieved with minimal capital investment by TXU.

In other company news, Green Energy Resources has selected Louisiana, Virginia and Texas for its export of woodchips. Green Energy Resources has nearly $50 million dollars in export orders for 2007 alone. The gulf region joins Albany, NY, as a growing base of operations for Green Energy Resources. The woodchips include both yellow pine chips and renewable energy chips.
