HuntMountain Resources Appoints Michael Mastor to Board of Directors
SPOKANE, WA--(MARKET WIRE)--Oct 9, 2007 -- HuntMountain Resources (OTC BB:HNTM.OB - News) is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Mastor to the Board of Directors.
Mr. Mastor brings tremendous depth of knowledge from his experience in the mining sector with 15 + years of operations management, including 14 years with Newmont Gold Company. In addition, over the last ten years he has established a successful financial planning practice, managing $80 million of assets for 375 clients.
While working for Newmont, Mr. Mastor served as mine superintendent at Newmont's Carlin Trend operations. He was selected as mine manager of Newmont's largest gold resource discovery; the Batu-Hijau Project in Sumbawa, Indonesia, where he was responsible for $400 million of the $2 billion project capital costs. Mr. Mastor also participated in international business development teams as a technical advisor for Newmont's China and CIS delegations.
Mr. Mastor earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines in 1982. His appointment to the HuntMountain Board was effective September 19, 2007.
HuntMountain Resources is a U.S.-based junior exploration company engaged in acquiring, exploring and developing precious and base metals properties throughout North and South America.
