Nearly 30 million viewers tuned in to see the "American Idol" season finale and nearly 50 million fans voted.

The 2006 "American Idol" winner, Taylor Hicks' version of "Do I Make You Proud" was delivered for immediate download and airplay on Wednesday May 24, 2006 at 9:53 PM PST by RCA Music Group via DMDS.
